Event Description

Come listen to the latest FilAm broadway artist to be signed by Manny Pacquiao’s talent management agency!  Additional entertainment will also be provided by Jacksonville’s own rising Filipino band – The Sunchase Drive Band!

International artist Kirby Asunto will be performing at Maharlika Hall & Sports Grill June 28th.  While having several notable performances, her most recent includes performing the Philippine national anthem for the Manny Pacquiao fight on June 9, 2012 at MGM Las Vegas. She also performed April 20, 2012 with Arnel Pineda, the lead singer of Journey band.

Arnel Pineda had this to say about Kirby. ->

“I am so proud of Kirby giving so much recognition to the Philippines,” he said. “At a young age she is given a unique chance to sing our National Anthem for Pacquiao’s upcoming fight in Las Vegas. She is on to a great start. The journey to stardom will not always be easy. Just keep doing something that makes your heart beat faster and everything will fall into its perfect place.”

This event is being organized by Howie Clavite and Armand Panganiban in support of Gawad Kalinga USA and Cuso International. 100% of the proceeds will be given to these two organizations.  Howie is a humanitarian showing incredible support for the international Filipino community.  Armand is a local resident here in Jacksonville and will be going to the Philippines for 3 months, of a 7 month volunteer program, addressing the issue of ‘human flight’ in the Philippines.  Human flight is the large scale emmigration of skilled technical workers.

We have a great night for food and entertainment.  Come out and show your support!
